What would you do?

This is the 2011 Beauty Edition Would You Rather TAG.
It's been going around youtube, so I thought I would also do it.

The Questions :
1) Would you rather lose all of your mascara's, eyeliner's, lipstick's and lipglosses or lose all of your palette's and eyeshadow's?
2) Would you rather chop all of your hair off or never be able to cut it again?
3) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
4) If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
5) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
6) Would rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
7) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
8) Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer, or summer clothes in the winter?
9) Would you rather wear dark or bright nails all year round?
10) Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
11) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
12) Would you rather never being able to paint your nails again or never wear lipgloss again?
13) Would you rather shave of your eyebrows and have none at all, or would you rather sharpie them in everyday?
14) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

So there are the questions, if you want to see what I answered for them, I have created a video on my youtube channel!

Aztec Nails

As I love experimenting with my nails, I thought that attempting to follow the current trend of the Aztec Print would make a brilliant nail art design. So this is my look, it was lightly based upon a video by Sarahbelle93x on youtube. I love this look and I got compliments on it, you can create it with any colours you want and it's not in your face as a boldly printed top, for those scared to wear this trend.

This Summer Get NAKED!?

So I know the Urban Decay Naked palette came out ages ago! But I felt like this was a good time to do a post on it. I have had for over four months, I think and I am in love. If you haven't heard of this palette you must of been living under a rock for this year. It's basically a neutral palette with suitable colours to create a range of shaded looks (for example a light daytime look or a night time dark smoky eye) it ranges from matte shadows to shimmery, glittery and even metallic. It's perfect for anyone. I believe it would suit all skin tone shades. You can create millions of different looks with this palette that's why I love it! It retails at around £32 which is one of the higher price ranges of the Urban Decay Palette range, however I think it has great value as you get twelve high pigmented, nice to blend, soft, and beautiful shadows! It either comes with a duo 24.7 eyeliner in Black (zero) and Brown (Bourbon) which are amazing however mine came with an eye shadow brush which I love it's great for packing on eye shadow on the lid but you could really use it anywhere depending on the angle you hold it. Overall I think this is a must have item for anyone interested in make-up! I know it's a lot of money but it is definatly worth it, so save up or try to catch it discounted on offer and grab this when you can, you won't regret it. Look out for an up and coming video on my beauty channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/JayyDanielle?feature=mhee) with the palette, you can also request looks with this palette to see what you can do with it :)

The Clouds Break Up The Blue Sky

So you have probably seen my post from a while ago on the Barry M black nail effects nail polish. Well a while ago not long after that post i purchased all the other colours by Barry M (they are blue, pink and white) Here is as good of a photo i could get of the blue nail effects over white nail polish. I really like this look and i think it is perfect for the spring and summer. It reminds me of the sky with clouds. The crackle effect nail polish by Barry M costs £3.95. I really recommend it and think it is definitely worth checking out!

You were born this way.

The society we live in at the moment cause's young girls (and guys) to feel pressured into looking like celebrities or the look of what is seen to be as perfect. You're beautiful it's society that isn't. It can be a hard lesson to learn to love yourself for who you are, but the truth is that's who you are and nothing cosmetic from surgery to make-up can change that. Girls refuse to be seen without make-up, because they think they are ugly. It's sad when you see girls like this where they feel the need to put on so much make-up. I'm not saying i don't like make-up obviously you can tell that as i make beauty videos on youtube, but i think it's important to love the person under the makeup. I like to be someone else sometimes but i would never completly change myself. I just wanted to take the time to show you that everyone has flaws that they don't like about themseles whether it's looks or personality but we are who we are. Here are some pictures of me without any make-up on and my hair how it is naturally. 'Baby we were born this way'

Look Through The Cracks

Barry M have a nail polish titled 'Nail Effects' it gives this really cute crackle effect to your nail. It's different every time. OPI came out with a nail polish with the same effect a while after in the Katy Perry collection called 'Black Shatter' (i think!) i have heard they are both similar quality but OPI being a bit better, I haven't gotten my hands on the OPI one yet but i hope to.

This is defiantly a nail look that gets people talking, when i wear it people ask questions, they notice it and compliment it. It keeps on being a conversation started at the checkout in the shops!

I defiantly love the effect of the nail polish and think that it will be great for an edge to otherwise girly nail polish colours.

You have to paint your nails with a colour first then apply this on top. Watch it crackle! Then apply a top coat.

I have also found that if you blow on it while it crackles you can get a more crackly effect.
I do recommend using a topcoat as it can make the nail polish chip.

In the picture i am wearing a non branded beige colour, after the nail effects polish i applied a glitter topcoat by BYS in 'Gold Digger'

The Barry M one retails at £3.95 and it's worth every penny in my opinion.

The Bow In Your Hair

So everyone is wearing them, and i love them! I guess it's a modern take on the 80's fashion trend. You can get them everywhere the three places where i have found the cutest ones are Primark, Newlook or H&M with the highest price around £5. You can wear them with your hair up, down, curly, straight, wavy, really anyway you want.

The generally come with wire in them and are easy to shape to your head.

If you want to make your own without having to go out and buy one I'll tell you how! This is the simplest way.

I do textiles and art at school for my GCSE's so i usually always have different types of fabric in the house. So all you have to do is take a piece of fabric, width wise it can be short but it has to be longer in length to fit around your head. Everyones head's are different sizes so just kind of play around with different lengths.

Cut a strip of fabric double the width you want it to show on your head, so when you wear it, it is doubled over.

When i did mine i made it messy and have a rough edge but you can make it perfectly neat if you want.

And that's it!

Although most in the shops have wire it isn't necessary to have wire in them, this method you don't have to do any stitching either by hand or machine. It literally takes two minutes if that.

Try it out and tell me what you think and how you got on.

They look cute and can be an easy accessory to any outfit.
You can't see the design on mine very well but it's a cute ditsy floral print, with pale pinks and whites.
